May 18th Event Featured Live Health, Fashion & Beauty Demonstrations
Raffle To Benefit Advocates of Ozaukee County
Last Wednesday, May 18, 2011, Quintessa Medical Spa hosted the first annual “Quintessential Wellness Event: Look Good. Feel Good. Do Good.” at their Mequon location. In sponsorship with a group of Mequon-area community wellness partners, the free event focused on personal wellness, as well as caring for the community.
“We are very thankful the organizers of the Quintessential Wellness Event selected us as their non-profit partner in this worthwhile event,” said Advocates of Ozaukee County Executive Director Barb Fisher. “Advocates’ mission is to end domestic and sexual violence. When people suffering from abuse start to feel good about themselves, the cycle of abuse starts to change. We are happy to benefit from an event that believes in the power of feeling good about ourselves,” Fisher continued.
Organizers of the event hoped to raise awareness of personal well-being, as well as help bring out the best in communities. “We are more than delighted to host an event that encapsulates our mission,” said Dr. Andrew Campbell, owner of Quintessa Medical Spa. “When we personally feel well, good about ourselves, it permeates throughout a community and enables us to give more of ourselves to others. We hope this first-time event will inspire others to be better to themselves and their community,” Dr. Campbell continued.
All in attendance enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres, wine tastingsand the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for exciting prizes. Tickets were $20 for one, $100 for five. All raffle proceeds benefit the non-profit, Advocates of Ozaukee County-an agency that provides emergency shelter, food, transportation, one-on-one counseling, legal advocacy, transitional living, outreach and other services to those suffering from domestic or sexual abuse.
The open to the public event featured live health, fashion and beauty demonstrations by community wellness partners Allure, AC Zuckerman Jewelers, Elite Sports Clubs, Erik of Norway, Fantasy Flowers, Faye’s, Quintessa Medical Spa, Rosen Wellness andWorzella Photography.
