We are excited to have an Ultherapy device at Quintessa Medical Spa as we were one of the first ten facilities to obtain this device in the United States and will be one of twenty-five facilities in their Phase One Clinical Release.

Known as the first non-surgical device to be FDA approved for facial lifting, Ultherapy is the most efficacious treatment available. Ultherapy is an ultrasound-based technology that can heat the deeper tissue of the skin using ultrasound waves.
This technology is very exciting due to the fact that it completely bypasses the overlying skin and thus creates no injury whatsoever to the skin’s surface. Ultherapy only injures the deeper tissue thereby stimulating collagen growth, which causes a tightening of the area. Visible results can be seen within approximately three months, but some patients report and show visible results in less time. There is no downtime and patients can return to work immediately.
Candidates for Treatment
Candidates for Ultherapy are generally looking to improve mild to moderate skin laxity in the brow, neck, under the chin or along the jawline. While results are typically not as dramatic as a surgical facelift, this is a good alternative for those who are not yet ready for surgery and are seeking a non-surgical approach to improve skin laxity with no downtime. As with other cosmetic procedures, patients should be in good health with realistic expectations.
Treatment and Recovery
The Ultherapy treatment can take as little as thirty minutes when treating the brow or other partial area of the face. A full face and neck treatment takes approximately sixty to ninety minutes. As patients may experience some mild discomfort during treatment, a local anesthetic is typically used and this can be combined with sedation if necessary.
Some minor redness may be present for an hour or so after treatment; however, there is no downtime and patients are able to immediately return to their normal routine. Other temporary side effects may include mild swelling, tingling or tenderness. Visible results are typically seen over the course of two to three months and some patients report continued improvement for up to six months or even longer as new collagen forms.
Ultherapy has many benefits. As a non-surgical procedure providing significant improvement for skin laxity, it is appealing to many individuals of all ages who are looking to counteract the effects of time and gravity. Furthermore, there is no downtime. Ultherapy can improve mild to moderate skin laxity in the brow, neck, under the chin or along the jawline. Because of the new collagen generated with the treatment, future signs of aging should be slower. Also, repeat treatments (usually one per year) can be performed in an attempt to “preserve†a more youthful appearance over an extended period of time.
The cost of Ultherapy will vary based on many factors. The national average is around $2,600, though prices may range anywhere from $1,500 for a small area to up to $4,500 for a full face and neck treatment.
Q - What is Ultherapy?

Q - Is Ultherapy performed with anesthesia?
A - Ultherapy is often performed with local anesthesia. This can be combined with sedation if needed.
Q - How much downtime can I expect after Ultherapy treatment?
